On how she feels about the visit, she says: “It’s such a great feeling. Imagine how much we spend on things that we discard after some days. And look at how much happiness these few things we brought made these beautiful kids.”She says: “The kids at Abuja Homes Orphanage at Karu were particularly very lovely, they were below 6 and we all got to play so much.
The more matured Girls and Boys hostels were also fun as the curious teenagers bombarded us with questions concerning life in general.”She says: “They shared their hope and dreams and oh… they asked us to bring Genevieve Nnaji and 2Face Idibia to them. Tell us about your trip to the orphanage homes.
In one word: Joyous! Wow! It’s one experience you derive only from giving. And I’m going to add that everything we planned, we achieved with joy and laughter. The joy on the faces of those blessed kids reflected on each one of us.
What inspired the visits?
I think the question should be what inspired my friends and I to do it in a bigger and more organized way. I’m a happy person Evia, yes I am. My friends Vivian Egbon, a great actress, as well as my girlfriends Tyna, Anita and Chichi are very happy folks who like to make everyone around them happy. We were all inspired by the goodwill to extend our successes in the little ways we can.
How did you feel after the visit?
It’s such a great feeling. Imagine how much we spend on things that we discard after some days. And look at how much happiness these few things we brought made these beautiful kids.
This was a unanimous decision by us. Vivian Egbon even had to cancel her movie shoot on that day just to be part of the trip. Tyna, Anita and Chichi ensured that everything went smoothly. I’m so happy with their efforts and yes, it was a day of joy. The kids at Abuja Homes Orphanage at Karu were particularly very lovely, they were below 6 and we all got to play so much.
