Okonkwo told newsmen in Awka yesterday that in anticipation of the approval of the budget estimate, the commission has been preparing seriously for the exercise, adding that all things being equal, the election would be held this year. He however did not give a specific date for the election..
According to him, as part of preparations for the exercise, a three-day workshop was organised for the management and staff of the commission in February this year.
