A combined team of soldiers and state security operatives have surrounded a house in Mabera layout in Mabera Itti within the Sokoto metropolis.
According to sources, a house suspected to house armed militants remained under total cordon two a days after detained Boko haram leaders claimed they targeted the Sutan of Sokoto as part of a wider plan to islamize Nigeria.
Earlier there were reports of exchange of gunfire between the soldiers and armed occupants of the house.
