While still basking in the euphoria of the success recorded by his last movie, The Mirror Boy at cinemas both in Nigeria and abroad, Obi Emenloye, the award winning director and producer is back with another movie, Last Flight To Abuja.
The new flick, a movie project which focused on the ills of our aviation industry, features Nollywood favourites like Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Jim Iyke, Jide Kosoko, Ali Nuhu, Anthony Monjaro and Uru Eke. It also has in it Nigerian-born Hollywood actor, Hakeem Kae-Kazeem, with Celine Loader, Nigeria’s corporate big player trying her acting prowess in the movie which is already enjoying critics’ acclaim.
The movie was recently premiered at the Troxy Theatre in London, an event dedicated to the memory of the victims of the 3 June ill-fated Dana air crash, with the names on the manifest replacing the end credit of the movie.
In a first of its kind in Nollywood, Last Flight To Abuja reveals extensively, the daring mid-air difficulties that stare most Nigerian commercial passengers in the face and how in this instance the fictitious Flamigo Airways plane is forced to make an emergency landing which results in very devastating consequences.
The movie will officially premiere in Nigeria on Friday, 3 August at the Genesis Deluxe Cinema, Lekki, Lagos. It will be in other cinemas across Nigeria on the same day.
