David mark consoling the grieving family |
Mark said true forgiveness of the perpetrators of violence in the state would ensure timely answers to prayers by God, who taught forgiveness, adding that Plateau people should continue to imbibe the peace they are known for as the Senator would not have died if there was peace in the state.
The Senate President, in Jos at the funeral service of the late Senator Dantong, who died two weeks ago when attackers invaded a mass burial site at Maseh village in Riyom Local Government Area of the state, said time heals all things.
He added that many things were going wrong in the nation but soon, the constitution amendment would address such wrongs.
He said: “Time heals all things. The late Senator was a sacrificial lamb for peace in the state. He would not have died if there was peace in the state. I urged all to imbibe true forgiveness.”
