Babangida Dan-Auta of Mararaban Jos in Kaduna State on Monday sued his father
in-law to a Sharia Court for abducting his wife.
Dan-Auta told the court that his in-law, Hunta Mainama, had abducted his wife, Laure Bala of Kwanar-Dangora and taken her away from his residence without his consent.
He appealed to the court to direct his in-law to return his wife.
Mainama, who was asked to report to the court on Friday, failed to appear because he had also sued the complainant to another court.
Laure was, however, present and told the court that Mainama could not appear in court on Friday because he had filed the case in another Court at Kwannan-Dangora.
The Presiding Judge, Ibrahim Inuwa, adjourned the case to Aug. 10 for further hearing. (NAN)
