Man Arrested For Stabbing His Lover Snatcher To Death In Lagos - A man has reportedly stabbed his rival to death in Lagos after he caught him with his lover making love.

The 27-year old man, David Omoregbe, was arrested by the police in Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria,  after he allegedly stabbed and killed his rival, Kehinde Owasoye, 25, for snatching his 22-year old lover, Bolodeoku Temisan.

The incident happened at the deceased’s residence  at 20, Adeojo Street, Isheri-Oshun, on the outskirts of Lagos.
The woman, Temisan, was  said to be dating the two men and when they discovered, a  fight ensued during which Owasoye was eventually murdered.

The lady at the centre of the controversy, was arrested with Omoregbe  and charged  with  conspiracy and murder before a Yaba Magistrate’s court, Lagos.

 We gathered from their neighbours that  Temisan was dating both men  until Omoregbe later discovered and warned her to stop seeing the deceased.
To ensure he won the fight, Omoregbe, a commuter bus driver decided to sponsor Temisan to learn tailoring.
But Temisan did not stop having affairs with Owasoye.

On the day the incident happened, Omoregbe was told that Temisan was at Owasoye’s house.
After he traced them there and caught them in bed; he allegedly  took a pair of scissors and stabbed Owasoye. And before he could be rushed to a hospital, he  died.

Omoregbe and Temisan were arrested by the police at Isheri-Oshun division and the matter was late transferred to state Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba.
They are now facing a charge of murder contrary to sections 221 and 231 of the Criminal Code Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2011.

The prosecutor, Inspector Rita Momoh, urged the court to remand the two suspects in prison custody.
Their plea was not taken.

The presiding magistrate, Mrs. M. O. Tanimola  ordered them to be remanded in prison and their case file duplicated for Director of Public Prosecutions, DPP’s advice.
