 Update On Lassa Fever Disease Outbreak In Lagos: 92 Quarantined, Health Minister Calls For Calm
Lagos State Health Commissioner, Dr Jide Idris has called for calm in the wake of Lassa fever virus outbreak in the state.


According to Mr Idris, 92 people including 15 patients and 25 health workers have been placed on a compulsory 21-day monitoring.

Lagosian are urged to watch out for the signs and symptoms of Lassa fever which typically occur with incubation period of 1-3 weeks after the patient comes into contact with the virus. Early symptoms of the disease include fever, headache, chills, diarrheas, nausea, vomiting, sore throat, backache, and joint pains.
