ACN mocks Oyo PDP’s reconciliation move

THE Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, Oyo State chapter, said, in response to the peace move by the chieftains of opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, that it would finally seal the hope of the party in 2015 election.

Describing the reconciliation of the aggrieved chieftains of the party as “pseudo-reconciliation,” it vowed that it would finally nail the conservative party’s coffin saying the re-union of the party chieftains was nothing but “an assemblage of failed politicians, most of whom in 2011, could not win their wards.”
This was stated in a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Mr. Dauda Kolawole, yesterday. According to the party, unknown to those being reconciled, they are being profiled for the gubernatorial ambition of Chief Jumoke Akinjide whom it alleged was rail-roading the state PDP into her ambition.
The ACN said it was not moved by “the pseudo reconciliation,” and that when it is time, the people of Oyo State would show the PDP that they had not forgotten “the most recent predatory history” of PDP rule in the state.
