Woman, 27 Stabbed To Death In Lagos

The policemen in Victoria Island Police Station, Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, have arrested a woman in Abijo Town, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State, for allegedly stabbing another woman to death.

The victim identified as Titilayo Toro, 27, was allegedly stabbed on the neck during a fight with the suspect and died on the way to the hospital.

The suspect was promptly arrested and handed over to the police at Victoria Island.
She was later transferred to the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department,SCID, Panti, Yaba, for further interrogation.

In a similar incident, there was a report at Area ‘G’ Police Command, Ogba, Lagos State that a 50-year- old Israel Ishola who lodged with his girlfriend Tonye West in a hotel at Ogba, took ill and was rushed to a hospital where he was confirmed dead.

The girl was subsequently arrested and detained after the autopsy which revealed that the deceased died of heart attack. The girl was released on bail while investigation into the case continues.
According to Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Ngozi Braide, DSP, the girl was released since the autopsy did not prove that the deceased died of poison or any other thing to implicate the suspect.
She said that investigation into the matter is continuing.
