Soldiers Invade Erunwen Village Lagos

The Ogunnaike family of Erunwen Village along Awolowo Way, Ikorodu, Lagos State, has cried out over the invasion of their land by soldiers who were brought by land grabbers to terrorise and eject the rightful owners of the land.

Speaking with Crime Watch, a representative of the family head, Alhaji Tajudeen Sholaru said Ogunnaike family is the original owner of the land but a group of people sold some plots of the land to residents who have developed them.

He said the impostors hired soldiers who invaded the village in an army truck.
Alhaji Sholaru alleged that the soldiers harassed, intimidated and chased away the family members and supported their opponents to erect structures on the land.

Corroborating the villagers claims, Hassan said he discussed with landlords who had completed their buildings on the land and they agreed to pay N50,000 each which Ogunnaike family rejected but he advised the family to collect N300,000 per plot from all residents who paid to the impostors.
Meanwhile, Alhaji Sholaru has appealed to security agents to curb the activities of the impostors who harassed them with soldiers as their case had been reported to the police, who admitted that Ogunnaike family is the rightful owner of the Erunwen village land. (PM)
