One of the expatriates working with MIKANO Generator Company in Lagos,
Nigeria, Mr. Mear, who was kidnapped by unidentified gunmen last week, has
regained his freedom.
Mear, who was released by his captors last night, is a manager at the MCPD Department of the company situated on Acme Road, Agidingbi, Ikeja.
A source in the company told P.M. this morning that though Mear’s captors demanded for millions of naira as ransom, it took frantic effort of policemen and ‘prayers’ to secure his release.
“We give glory to God almighty that our manager has returned to the company alive. It calls for celebration,” the source said.
There was wild jubilation in the company this morning when Mear resumed duty in his office.
